DLH SOLICITORS CELEBRATES ONE-YEAR ANNIVERSARY OF SALLY CALLANDER AT ITS HELM.

October 1 marks 12 months since Sally Callander became principal solicitor & owner of DLH Solicitors - a milestone that marks not only a year of business ownership, but a significant new chapter for one of the Central West’s long-standing legal practices.

And what a year it’s been.

The past 12 months have brought growth, challenges, lessons, big decisions & new opportunities, as Sally & the DLH team have worked to build on the firm’s strong foundation, while creating a modern vision for its future.

Taking ownership of an established legal practice was about finding the balance between honouring DLH’s long-standing legacy within the community & embracing new ways of working. Over the past year, the firm has introduced a digital-first policy, streamlined processes & continued to evolve its approach to client service.

It has invested heavily in its people, building a stronger team & creating a dedicated internship & professional development program to build a pipeline of young lawyers in the Mudgee region.

It has also continued to support the local community, with Sally continuing her commitment to Girl Talk, along with sponsorship of initiatives like the Mudgee Wine Show and participation in a range of local activities like Dying to Know Day & the annual Seniors Expo.

DLH Solicitors’ successful transition was recognised with a finalist nomination for Sally Callander at the 2026 Women in Law Awards as Executive of the Year, acknowledging her strategic vision & leadership.

The first year of the new-look DLH Solicitors has been about laying foundations, embracing change & setting a clear direction for the future; the next chapter will be about continuing this momentum.

DLH Solicitors is proud of its history & place within the community, but equally excited about what the future holds.
